Default Help...my axles wont fit?

I recently purchased a chromed diff casing/housing for my 72 panelvan and have fitted the diff centre to it and had an attempt at fitting the axles....only to discover that the chrome diff has a narrower axle housing for the bearings?
My axle bearings are about 15-20mm
Chrome diff bearing housing is about 10mm.
Can anyone let me know what sort of diff casing I may have so I can purchase compatable axles.

There were two different size bearings, I assume you are talking escort? All you have to do is swap to the smaller size bearings. Press/cut the old ones off and install new narrower bearings and it should all go together. Check your axle lengths as well, as there were subtle differences between van, s/w and car diffs.
