Drive.com.au from the age has compared the 3 in an article. Hmmm who got the nod?

All cars are worthy contenders. Some guys might rave on about how the Golf R is a better car, better built, all wheel drive, value for money, and they might be correct. Do I think the RS is worth 30 grand more than the XR5? No. I coudl mod my XR5 up to the same spec for less. But if you're looking for street cred and something lairy, then you can't go past an UG RS. It's going to turn more heads than both the others.

"Oh, there goes another Golf"
"Oh, another subi. yay..."

"**** me, did you see that green thing?"

Having driving both the new WRX and RS. I found it hard to choose between the two. The new wrx certainly looks the goods, goes like stink and handles well but I had no passion for it like I did with the RS..... Think I'm just too biased. I would buy the RS...but think it is still too pricey for what it essentially is.

I like the Golf R, ALOT.

Id never own a current gen WRX, they are just horrid to look at.

XR5-Boy- Yeah you can mod your XR5 to give it almost the same spec as the RS but it will never be an RS ever as your aware. I agree the RS isnt worth 30k~ more then the XR5 but some people think it is.
That said i have the RS over both of them but yes iam biased aswell.

aside from its straight line performance, I thought one of the RS's main advantages over other similarly powerful FWD cars was the revo knuckle to reduce torque steer and a host of other changes that make it handle really well. Are they available after-market?
