Theres a few addons for FF that will do it (??download helper??, Im just booting FF to find the name), I think somethikng like Jdownloader would too.

Edit: Yeah the FF addon I have is Download helper. It just sits on the toolbar, and will animate when it sees files it can download.

Thanks for that. It might stop the Grandaughter from using up most of the download gigazilawatts that Bigpond allow me, so she can watch the same music video 200 times..... a night!

Anyone know of other programs for Opera or Chrome ?

Yes I have the plugin downloadhelper, gets alot of "embedded" videos etc.

I did it for that reason aswell, the amount of times people see the same clip is annoying. I dont think movies cache like pics.

I use Opera too, thats why I had to boot FF up as I find it a bit clunky. I dont know of any addons for Opera although apparently some FF ones do work, but Jdownloader is free. Its a standalone download manager with tabs, links and dl. It monitors your clipboard for addresses you add by right click and 'copy link address', and adds them to the links tab in the app, you just keep grabbing the links as you find them. When youre done grabbing links, tell it to "continue with all" or "selected" and it sends them to the next tab and depending on settings, it will either auto start them, or wait for you to start them, once started it will dl them one after the other, or simultaneously, again depending on the settings you give it. You can give it 50 links, send them to dl and go to bed, when you wake up it should have downloaded them.

http://jdownloader.com/

Whatever you do, dont close it before sending the links you want to keep to the dl tab on the dl manager though, any link left in the link grabber tab will be lost. But if you click continue with all or selected ones, even if not actually starting the dl they will still be there if you close the app.
