Re-posting this from another forum.

Just disguting! neighbours of ours up here had there wheels knocked off not that long ago, and it's a horrible site to say the least. The mungrols who do this to car's deserve to be locked up, not just a "tap on the wrist" fine and an "on your way now".
Hope the vile excuses for human beings get caught and have the book thrown at them!

A wheel alignment fixes everything, when it comes to front end issues. This includes any little noises. Please read the manual carefully, as the these manufacturers spent millions of dollars making sure it is perfect.....Now why are there so many problems with my car, when I follow the instructions to the letter?....Answer, majority rules round here Lock me up and throw away the key because I'm a hoon....I got caught doing 59 in a 60 zone |

knew a bloke that was knocking someones missus.... one day some of his wheels came loose on his car.. they werent trying to pinch his wheels.......

Locknuts don't provide quite as much protection as some might hope. I won't go into any details about it however they can apparently be taken off by 'other means'.

check ebay and the most comen place for stolen goods is "gumtree" check there i had a motor bike stolen i found it avertised there a month later.

What a pain in the back side, when I use to do my panel beating apprenticeship, we frequently had customers who had their rims taken and had to do floor, sill panel, and even the odd fuel tank replacement because of how they lowered the car...
But all in all lock nuts don't do anything... When ya got the know-how locknuts are just a inconviance... |

On the subject of locknuts. There is a manufacturer out there that actually supplies sockets that are used especially for the removal of locknuts. However it does require some bashing.

after many sets of lock nuts ive found the speedy ones seem to be the best. the standard ford ones i can remove with a 21mm socket..

A little set by irwin gets lock nuts off a treat. Any thief with half a brain woud have (or steal) a set to gett off the desired wheels they want. They should not only have the book thrown at them however tie them to a tree and have the wheels they stole thrown at whem.
