Hi all,
I bought my 2008 Focus Hatch a few months ago, and wanted to change the wiper blades. Went into a local store and they told me standard wipe blades won't fit and I need to get them from ford. What's the deal with these then? I'm guessing the rear one will take a standard wiper blade? Any recommendations for online wiper blades for the front? Thanks all. |

Had the car serviced yesterday (30,000kms) and Ford replaced the three wiper blades for $16 which I thought was reasonable.

Hmm ok, might wait until service time. It's due in another 2 months or so.
By the way.. mine has done 40,000km so far, should I bring it in every 5000km or 10,000km for a service? |

First of all, welcome aboard.
Repco sells a (Repco-branded) aero blade that is a universal fit, and are a lot cheaper than buying the aero blade through Ford. They are chunkier than the genuine Ford ones, but they've been faultless so far, very quiet. I grabbed some refills from Ford a while ago and they didn't last very long unfortunately. Hope you have better luck than me Malboro. Otherwise look on ebay for Bosch Aero Blades, plenty around. Look for international sellers, most are cheaper than local sellers even with shipping.

Get Bosch if you can - they're the same as Ford OEM. Just had to replace the Mondeo wiper blades and the new ones are great.

I recently bought a pair of the Tridon aero blades from Supercheap and they were around $25-$30 per side! $60 to change wiper blades -
Every time your wipers need replacing are you supposed to buy these aero blades or is it possible to keep the aero "arm" and just change the rubber blade? |
