Default SA Rego Costs To Rise

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/third-...-1225872158526

I just love the last little quote from Treasurer Kevin Foley:
Quote:
"It should be remembered that in years when the financial performance of the fund was strong, the Government has been in a position to reduce third party premiums."
Well, they may certainly be in a position to lower premiums, but I don't remember that ever happening in my time driving!!!

Costs to rise huh? Gee what a surprise I register my XC and XB when i need them for 3 months at a time. i don't remember a time where i went to register one and the price hadn't gone up.

just more revenue for the Rann/Foley retirement fund. enough ranting as far too much of it happens on AFF by us south aussies. i shall simply leave you with one picture from my XE Fairmont Ghia

Still gotta wait another 4 years for the XE!
At least living out of the metro area, we get a discount on the rego, but any increase really sucks. Cost of living going up and no pay increases lately. All fun and games.

Dunno. I know I didn't vote for them. Must have been the dodgy tactics they used at the election.

Congrats lol, I should have said 6 cylinder, here 6cyl is ~$800, 8cyl is ~$1000 and 4cyl is $650.

All it says there is that the average cost has risen to $476..i'm guessing the average family car is a 6 cylinder (are your costs calculated by number of cylinders?)

6 cyl falcon = $735! thats the old figure.

adelaide's cost of living may be lower than the eastern states but the gap is becoming smaller, and the downside is you have to live in adelaide!

Your rego is more because you pay less in fuel levies

there should be no diff with types of engines, you pay more tax by buying more fuel when you use it as it uses more. Simple as that.
