Default iPhone 4G apparently "found"...

iPhone 4G: is this it?

Is this the iPhone 4G? There's no way to tell for sure, but these photos which made their way into our hands certainly do a convincing job of making us think that's very much the case. Apparently the phone was found on the floor of a San Jose bar inside of an iPhone 3G case. Right now we don't have a ton of info on the device in question, but we can tell you that it has a front facing camera (!), 80GB of storage (weird, right?), removable battery and isn't booting at this point (though it was previously, and running an OS that was decidedly new). It's not clear if this is definitely a production model, or just a prototype that found its way into the world, but it's certainly a compelling design, no matter how you look at it.

This next pic is of a leak ipad prototype taken well before launch... as you can see the big black box is the ipad and what appears to be 2 x iphone 4g (as pointed out by the arrows).

Additionally, a source -- who confirms this is the next Apple iPhone -- also tells that the device apparently does have a higher res screen on-board, a front-facing camera, a higher resolution camera with flash, and takes MicroSIM cards.

The next iPhone is expected to be unveiled on June 22 2010, after Apple recently booked the Yerba Buena Centre in San Francisco for that date.

The last event Apple held at the Yerba Buena Centre was the iPad launch.

So what does everyone think? Wouldnt put it past a leak as these are made in china after all, and thats where majority of the fake iphone 3gs are made

Could be the next one. I suppose the squared off case lets them squeeze a bit more into the case.

Don't mind the style. Will have to see what it's like in the flesh.

See original post, iphone 4g will be announced this june, apple wont make the same mistake they did with the 3g, this time around they will have stock for demand. My contracts up in June this year. Wife just got a 3gs (mines a 3g) only thing i notice between the 2 is the 3gs flows better (speed). If they release the 4g in july im happy to wait. : but 1 year on (2011) there will be another iphone so im just going to get a 12 month contract.

As much as my iphone 3g gives me the ****s at times its still the most reliable phone ive had. Motorola, sony ericsson and nokia all lasted a year then broke or died on me. Good thing about iphone is you can "reboot" the software is theres an error

yeah theres a good bit of info on it at gizmodo.com who now have the phone in there possession.

June 22nd is also the day the iPhone OS4.0 is supposed to go live and ready for update. makes sense to release the new phone which already has it installed, the same day.

fingers crossed Oz gets it early and not 6 months after the rest of the world.

Steve Jobs would have sold even more of these if he'd only named his kids "Hand" and "Blow".

Of course.

After the great marketing campaign of the first iPhone -"QUICK, buy one. We didn't make many!" (yeah right) they had to come up with something different.

I believe they will start on the same plans as the 3GS is now, the 3GS will be priced as the 3G is now, and the 3G will be free when you sign up to a new plan.

I payed $400 for my 3GS on a 24mnth contract, Outright it's still $800 odd.

got my 16gb iphone 3G plan on a 24month contract with optus when it was first released.... $79 a month, $1 a month for the 16gb model instead of 8gb model (geez a dollar for another 8gb lol!) and 700mb d/l limit.

Wife just brought a 16gb 3GS iphone through vodafone with 1gb d/l limit, $70 a month and the phone was $0 24 month contract. Then 32gb 3GS they want like $200 upfront before the contract...

3G had way better plans... e.g $1 for the 16gb model...

Getting this new iphone though as my contract is up in June.... feel sorry for all the people buying 3GS iphone now lol phone companies would want these out the door as they did when 3GS came out and they had excess stock of 3G iphones....

I'm looking to the Iphone 4.0 for an upgrade from my 3g which has quite a few dead pixels and a cracked case.

looks good from the pics..looking forward to it, i think my contract will be up around august(have to check).
i have an 8gb as the 16gb was way dearer at the time... so the capacity increase alone will be a winner.....

I bought a a brand new Iphone outright for the Mrs for $640, 16gb 3gs. I have one, but on a plan. I like the current Iphone. I just use mine to make calls, surf the web and play some free apps, plus get footy scores and do tips, order a pizza and a few other things.

I resisted getting an iPhone for ages because i couldnt see the value in it. Now that ive got one (3Gs 16g and one for the missus too) I love how seemlesly it works. Browsing sucks because you cant see flash content - but tethered to my netbook its awesome. Waiting for jailbreak!!

Its funny, everybody who doesnt have one (like i used to) hates iPhones and says theyre no good. Then they go on to compare any and all new smart phones to the iPhone. Its an iPhone killer, its this, its that. sheeeeesh Its plain to see that the iPhone is the reference by which all other phones are measured .... but only if your measuring LOL
