They'll have to chop even more out of it to get all the ads in. Even though SBS did the same, they only put in 3 (I think) ad breaks, each with about 4 ads. 9 will be double that I'm sure.

I always love it when the guys at work come and say 'did you see the new Top Gear last night?' My standard reply is 'yeah, I saw that NEW episode 6 months ago. You better remind me what happened'.

Gotta love Channel Torrent.

Anyone know where it can be downloaded besides torrents?

Hessmo.org used to but the BBC cracked the whip on them.

Any tips will be appreciated!

Yeah, same here. Everyone are always talking about "last nights" Top Gear, which I saw months ago!

Can't wait

Finalgear, ahh what would we do without them? It is great how the Top Gear guys know about final gear and yet it does not get shut down for providing links to download.

Nothing except apparently I need a static IP and to get one of them it will cost me ~$12 a month on top of my internet costs.

You don't need a static IP to download torrents.

Could you post links to these torrent sites please? My "provider" XTVi, has seemingly gone into meltdown. Do yours also do movies that don't need 5 codecs that don't exist to watch them?
Cheers for your help.

You DO NOT need a static IP address for any torrent site , they will all work , though i find mininova.org the most reliable and the one with least adds...good for TV Shows and game torrents

www.eztv.it is where I get 95% of my TV shows from.

Its free, its public, and its reliable and the AV quality of the shows is good. Quality of the content of some of the shows is debatable (they do a heap of reality shows there too).

www.mininova.org is also a good one, although a lot of their tv stuff is from eztv anyway.

www.thepiratebay.org - long live TPB!!!

There's also an SA-based private site I'm a part of but only certain ISP's can even access it ;) Releases are usually a day or so later than anyone else, as a member has to get the show & up it to the site, but download speeds are usually awesome due to the locality of it all.

And yeah, you DO NOT need a static IP to download torrents. I've never come across any torrent site anywhere that requires that.

Peer to peer sharing. You download and upload parts of a complete file to multiple people. The torrent application logically splits up those parts, downloads what it needs and joins them your end.

Best check your ISP's plan as a number of them include uploads as part of your quota. In order to download you also need to upload. The way the system also works is that the more you upload the higher priority you get to download (rewards those that offer up content).

If I'm lazy I'll queue up my shows for offpeak download, but if I'm wanting to watch something 5 minutes from now, the same content can often be found on usenet - you also don't have production companies collecting IP's of people downloading commercial music, movies and games from public torrents.

Movies not too bad, I tend to just head over to mininova or pirate bay for them.

I don't do a lot of new release stuff, I tend to wait until I can get a divx or xvid rip of the retail DVD. Unless there's a decent quality version (screener or equivalent) of it (a screener is the DVD that the studio sends out to various places for reviews/award consideration etc and somebody has intercepted, ripped and uploaded). I never bother with cam jobs. Ever.

Fully agree with these sources. I use eztv extensively and mininova is quite good too. Torrentz.com (i think that is it) is another way to do a quick search for all torrents over the net if you are trying to find something a bit less common/recent.
