Default A good reason not to use Trufit Exhausts, Moorabbin VIC!

A picture says a thousand words!!!

What the pic doesn't show, is where they also pulled out my nice new (at the time) mandrel bent exhaust, and whacked it in the press bender as they couldn't be bothered doing the cat properly.

Oh, and this is after they supposedly fixed the very obvious leak at the cat (that they fitted brand new mind you!)...

That looks worse than the job I did on mine - but at least I did mine, and it doesn't leak!

I had to take it back 3 times to get it that good, and then finally gave up! Then I didn't touch the car for nearly a year and forgot about it till I had to drive it to work the other day, and just got it fixed.

Yay for a less crap sounding exhaust! Pacies, cat and 2.5" exhaust certainly isn't the best sounding combo.

Nah, wasn't too bad - around $200 from memory including the Magnaflow 2.5" cat - guess that's why it was cheap though!

not many people do! if i was modding with only sound in mind for the I6, id probably get a catback, CAI and possibly high flow cat for a bit more noise

paccies are built to flow. If you want just sound, I recommend Lukey headers. They will give you a V8 like throb at idle. But wont flow as good as paccies IMO.

I have pacemaker 4480 comp headers due to my setup, but if I just wanted sound mainly with a mild performance increase, Id go the Lukeys hands down.

Depends on what you want, but Ive still yet to find a set of headers that flow better than pacemakers and still have a v8 like throb at idle.

Thanks mate - I like the sound of it too..........I think the Ballistic Cat helps it immensly....just the little bit deeper..........got a nice burble when rolling along in 3rd gear at speed, slowly decelerating!!!!!!

Kratas - Definately consider this combo - it may not be the BEST sounding exhaust that's going around, by IMO it's by no means a BAD sound!!!! Just use mine as a guide for what it sounds like!!!

Lukey headers only have a 2.25" outlet to the cat, whereas paceys are 2.5". This probably has something to do with the difference in sound........and this is also why they don't flow as well....

At the end of the day, as long as you are happy with your own exhaust sound (as I am), that's all that matters!!!!

yes i agree with you there Dave.

I dont want anyone here to get me wrong, the Lukeys will supply great flow over stock exhaust headers, and will provide a killer note for those who want a bit extra grunt and nice sound for an everyday vehicle. These are still excellent value for money.

For those who prefer to put power over sound, the paccies are better for this.
