I had it installed in my 2006 CL but it required an adaptor to fit the quadlock plug. I think it is plug and play on the XR5 though.

so how did you get it working if you needed a quadlock? What is a quadlock? I recently bought some kind of wiring harness for the focus, with the intention of installing an aftermarket stereo.... but never got around to it. I've wanted to purchase this very stereo from Ford Dealer in Perth, but no one ever entertain me.... I tried contacting Ford UK, again did not entertain me... So I gave up...

The quadlock is what most car makers in europe use on OEM stereos. The Focii built from South Africa have a different connecter for some reason. I rewired it myself but I belive there are adaptor cables you can buy.

I'll include the wiring diagrams and manual I downloaded from the net to the winning bidder.

Momentkiller,

do you include the wiring harness connector that connects to the Head Unit itself?

MK, could you be a pal and post the wiring diagrams you were able to find on the net.
A lot of us are in the same boat, so any info you might have would be mighty helpfull.

I am talking with the chaps at Nexxia in the UK, but it will cost about $75 to bring one over here. Not having much luck with local suppliers. No one gets back to you. These guys got back within 2 hrs!

Wouldnt be this one would it?

Go on, be a pal.

Cheers, Leakey

the iso harness which I purchased from ebay from UK i think looks exactly like this, which then allows aftermarket head units http://www.nexxia.co.uk/Car_kit_inst...es/06-092B.jpg

Yeah, that's the Telemute harness I'm looking at too. I will be using it to connect a Nokia CK-7W through my radio.

One thing to bear in mind is that some '08 CLs do not have the phone mute button on the radio. It is apparently a function on the radio however, as long as a phone is connected to it via the harness. Its an automatic function, and does not require dealer input.

For those of you with the same unit, use 06-092B, it's £13.95 for one harness to Australia making a total order of £35.68 (about $71.35).

I would dearly like some of our OZ suppliers to jump in here and say "hey we can do that for just $50" or the like. [holds breath]
