40 Statesmans.

Even during the BF Fairlanes darkest days it was still selling between 150 and 200 per month.

How many are the Sportswagons ? if you take the Sportswagon out of the figures. Actual Commodore sedan sales might be closer the Falcon ?

Commodore is still so far in front, I wonder if this month ( April ) will yield the same results, considering that the Falcon and Commodore are so evenly priced......

Holden will be discounting for quite a while I'd say, I don't think the numbers will change for months !

The Hyundai people would be happy with that result............Holden ute sales would have to be up because they are selling the SV6 or whatever it is for 32,000 drive away.........

And the buying public's indifference with the FORD brand.

The '5 year intention to buy Ford' stat is VERY low in the new car buying surveys.

They don't have a marketing team. They have an advertising team and when their budget is short like it is now they are even more useless than normal.

I don't think we should be blaming the marketing guro's at Ford as the Toyota Hilux/ Corolla and even the Mazda 3 all outsold the Falcon and do they advertise more than Ford does, I think not, I see so many add's on tele promoting the new FG falcon XR6 for $35 drive away and then the comodore, and every now and then I will see Toyota add's saying they have huge saving's but they don't specify the hilux/corolla, so I don't think we can blame marketer's at Ford for the lack there of, it's just the climate we live in and the fact that alot of company's with fleet/lease vehicle's etc are brand loyal and will stay with what they know...

I think FoA are just 'hanging in there' with the Falcon until Focus production starts and ramps up with 3 vehicles off the one platform. It will become FoA's volume seller and then Falcon will be relegated to niche vehicle status for the rest of the lifespan of the current platform.

With numbers like this month after month, Falcon production after 2013 is becoming less and less likely.

Unfortunatly i think the damage has been done . On the building sites im forever defending my ford and is hard when they notice it off the road all the time . When there looking for a new ute i tell them how good the fg is supposed to be quite often i get f@#. that I wont be buying a ford again.

I think Word of mouth is the best form of advertising in my opinion and thats the sort they need and i think it the negative word of mouth thats cost them .

If the fg is that good sales will pick up in a couple of years

Does anyone know the split between private & fleet sales? I remembering reading somewhere a few weeks (maybe months) ago that Falcon where strungling to get fleet sales. Might not be such a bad number for Falcon if a large majority where private sales.

I must admit I don’t see many XT models around mostly G series with XR close behind.

Its the Falcons poor image that is due to the lack of sales and not their advertising. It would do better if people weren't losing their jobs but that is effecting everyone.

Also on the fleet front, they now have to have a certain green image and until just recently the Falcon wasn't up to the mark. So now with the new updates it should help. Another issue is the existing stock issue as it is quite low and I know with the lack of manuals in Vic (FG XR6 N/A) there is one less sale they will be able to chalk up.

I've seen a few more on the roads of late. Saw a beautiful G series in a really dark grey colour yesterday that caught my eye, and this afternoon I followed a Black XR8.

The FG really looks really good in the darker colours. They are really starting to grow on me.

none of those figures are good for any brand, people have been pinching pennies because of doom and gloom statements, give ot a year see where its at, things should be getting better imo.
