Default Low Series Cluster Change to High Series Issues.

Hi All,

Around about three months ago, I purchased a High Series AU Series 1 Cluste to go into my stock AU Forte. I've been wanting to do the swap over myself, but can't work out how to remove the pins in the wire housing or connection piece.

I was just wondering if there is a specific tool because I went to Oxley Spare Parts at Wacol and pulled out several connectors to try to remove the pins on so I wouldn't damage my own, but I haven't had any luck removing any of the pins.

I've been quoted from a group in Toowoomba that it'll set me back about $325.00inc to do the swap over, and I would rather do it myself as it is mostly a simple thing to do (in theory).

I've gone over this guide, but I still can't work out the safest way to remove the pins.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

a very small screwdriver may do the trick, i haven't seen the actual plugs so i'm not sure how much room is in them, but i'm going to assume they are just a small clip setup? the other option is to go to dick smith and get a pack of small terminals, then just cut the wire off a bit back from the cluster and join a small piece on to that and the new terminal and push that in
