Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone else has had issue with running a Nokia 6210, or other Nokia phones through the Aux. plug in the glovebox of their focus ? I have run my Ipod through it and had no issues, but when I run the phone through I will only get sound through the LEFT speakers. Any help will be great. Camerooch. |

Maybe the phone is set to mono output? Or only has a mono output. The only thing I can think of.

Are you using a 2.5 to 3.5mm plug converter? I'm guessing either, the converter has a bad connection, or the pinout that is supposed to be used for the right speaker out is actually utilised by the microphone input circuit.
Can you try plugging it into a stereo sound input like line-in on your computer and see if it does it there as well?

Well I got an Nokia N95 8G and it works fine.
Like mentioned above you can try selecting 'Stereo' or 'Surround Sound' etc and try fiddling with the Audio options. |

bah, two min later i found out the issue.. i was using the wrong cable.. here is a pic of the differences..
The jack on the left is the correct one to use as it has two splits (stereo) where the other one only had one (mono) make sure your using the correct cable |

I just got an LG KF700Q and found that the Aux in the glovebox is good as a sub for Handsfree/bluetooth as I can speak into the phone which is on the passenger seat and can hear the caller through the car speakers - cool
