Default Insurance advice

I'm in the process of insuring (fully comp) my FPV GT BF11. Any suggestions on where to head?

The smart money would be to an insurance company.

How about telling us where you live, might help a little.

LOL...

Do you have a good driving history? If so, my bet for a GT would be to give Shannons a call. Most people with cars that are classified as enthusiast vehicles go with them....

Age, Location and Driving Record = The Price.

I pay $1900 for my XR6T ute because i'm 18.

The again my mate pays $4000 for his BRAND new HiLux.

Default Shannons for my GT

I suggest Shannons. They have been great to deal with, nothing to hard for them when you ask. Will be keeping my trailer queen with them and I like that you can pay by the month.

Hope this helps

Justin

What the hell did you do to earn a premium that big! I'm 22 and am insuring a heavily worked XR8 for a quarter of that - and have done so at the same price since I was 19!

I have had my 05 F6 insured for a quarter of that too and from when I was 21.. But I have a good history and started off as a rating 2, now am rating one but premiums still seem to be going up for some reason, despite the value of my car being worth less.. Must mean more F6s are being written off, as 2 years ago they hardly anyone knew what they were! Am with Just car, then may move to shannons once 26 (May move- as they annoyed me alot when I rang and asked to insure my F6 originally with them). So Ill see..

Just Car are pretty good with mods to cars, depeding on the extent of them, but even supercharging doesnt add much extra to the annual cover. Excesses are very high though..

try Ryno Insurance brokers in QLD. I'm a bit older (45) but only pay $900 odd for BA GTP insured for $50k

Thanks for all the advice, I'm in the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria. Have tried all the suggested insurers, other than Ryno. Will give them a go, thanks for the tip GTP-814.
