Default Selling Vic. rego car to NSW

Hi guys,

Someone from NSW has put down a deposit for my car in Melbourne. The car comes with 12months Vic. rego. Now I was wondering, how do we go about this such that he gets rego in NSW?

I have personalised plates on the car, which I will be keeping. Therefore what would be the best way to do this?
Does anybody know the process, or know of where I could find it?

Keep your plates and cash in the rego, the vic reg will expire when he puts the car in his name i think as he needs to have nsw reg on it. Giving him 12 mths reg , he can drive the car around in your name with no insurance until he decides to put the car in his name, i may be wrong but why take the risk.

Go to the RACV i think it is called and get a normal plate for your car that you
will be selling, so your personalize plates would be held at the RACV for
storage till you get your new car to put it on.

This is a NO NO to let him drive the car in your name as he can rack up
thousands if not millions dollars worth of fines for you, and there is nothing
you can do about it.

Do as what i mention above and fill out the disposable of vehicle forms
once you sell.

That was my point, take the plates off and cancel the reg.
