Exclamation Custom Plates _ Change Of Ownership?

hey guys, just wondering what do i have to do with changing ownership of custom plates, i just ordered new plates for my fiancee 2day for new car , i'll be recieving them in 1 - 2 weeks, it will in my name.

You didn't tell vicroads it was a gift? Tough luck.
They come with a form in the box for change of ownership that you fill in and take to VicRoads. They charge you about 30 bucks I think, you may get lucky and get the fee waved if you plead your case as purchasing them for a gift.

Well in that case, just fill out the form, and go to vicroads, change them into her name and affix them to her car.

You don't pay for the transfer... the only thing you pay for is if the plates were on a car previously and are going on another car, which isn't the case..

yeh you just fill in the form, i dont know if theres a fee as i just sold mine, have not brought any from a private seller

it wont be too difficult mate
