Default dte

might be a stupid question but, the trip computer on my auii fairmont is pointless now as absaloutly nothing shows on it,
ive seen older model au's with the dte on the dash, left to the amount of km's.
will i be able to somehow swap swap the dte over from the center of the dash so that i can view it near the speedo?

cheers

Perhaps is it the common AU problem where the LCD fades on the trip computer / climate control unit? Mine is beginning to do that now on the trip computer. You can swap them with other Fairmonts / Fairlanes but I think the different series have different coloured backlights?

You can get them from eBay also from time to time and there's a guy on the web somewhere in Victoria who will take it and send you back a refurbished unit. I don't know the website address.

This is a a common issue with AUs I recently replaced mine, the web address you need is http://www.geocities.com/liquidxtal/index.html
This guy is terrific to deal with and can supply you with a loan unit until yours is repaired
