Hey guys,
I'm took these pictures a moment ago when i was washing the car and realised a possible drama we might run into lowering my AU. The tyre is damn close to the upper control arm.. heres a few pics..    Will it hit it if i lower the car? The rims are 8.5" wide on the front with 245/35/19 tyres and the suspension i'm looking at putting in is some superlows and some shorter shocks. |

The distance between the upper arm and the wheel should be the same regardless of how low it is, I would have thought as they move together?

Glenn it's always that close. If the offset is around 35 you'll be right.
Mine have touched once after a long time and I thought wtf ?! I decided to take my metal dust shields off and put the wheels back on, going round some corners I heard scrapping ! Upon investigating I noticed the few ml's those cover's are was enough for the wheel weights to scrap the control arm. So make sure you don't have the weights that they bash on the inner lip of the rim and you should be right. You owe me $20 for the advice.....

Man... get in there and clean some of that sh|t.
Even with my 18s, after a big dip, and some load in my car. It feels as if my tyres bump/knock something. Goodluck Glenn!

I think it was three inches I kncoked out of my AU XR8 ute and ran 19x245x45 with no problem.

upper control arm is fine, what i see in the pic as being close is the up right. having said that, the distance between upright and wheel will remian the same no matter how low u go as they will always move the same way (unless u forgot to tighten ur wheelnuts).
