Default HLC pulls 117.2 RWKW on Autotech's dyno with just a cat-back exhaust!

Well today was the Dyno Day at Autotech, with a great turnout from the Falcon-Tickford-FPV Car Club of NSW. As well as some others,

anyway, i'm pleased to announce that i pulled 117.2 RWKW on the dyno today with just a lukey 2.5" cat back exhaust. no tickford snorkel, or high flow filter, just exhaust. :

this may not seem like a lot to some. but for me, this figure is outstanding. I was expecting something like 108 rwkw.

here is a piccy of the graph...

anyway, many forumers were there, including Stav who pulled 131 rwkw, Jonbays pulling 129, and stiddy with his freak engine pulling 137 rwkw! and a bunch of guys in FPV's and other assorted V8's, BA's, XR6T's, a couple of XB/C's, an XD and some E-series cars also putting out good numbers.

anyway it was a great day and yeah, just thought i'd tell you guys :

Well done mate.. now get yourself an ET to back it up

The old AU's still have a bit left in them by the looks!

HLC i was very impressed with your car mate! My ex AU2 XR6 VCT with full Mock exhaust and intake ran 127 on that Dyno! So your result is fantastic.

What is going to happen when you do more mods! Wrap that engine up, great result considering the result has been completely justified with other high powered AU I6's there as well for a comparision. Nice effort mate!

Just do it mate, its as easy as taking off from the lights... except you have 3 lanes of space and no speed camera's!

Well done!

I'd be afraid to put either of my LPG fueled AU's on the Dyno! People would smell the gas and want to cook snags! :hihi:

Sounds like one healthy I6.

Like GK, im afraid to go near a Dyno, a sub 100kw run would destroy my ego.

This was a really good result on a day when few records were being broken.

Just shows how good a basic catback exhaust and say an edit only could be on a good eaxample of an AU.

Absoultly excelent HLC. Glad to see you can pull some good figures from your car. A good starting point too for mods...
