Mate well i not sure exactly. But i think you would have to set up logins for them so that when they login they have only access to the harddrive you want

yeah using xp you make user logins.... your the admin, other restricted...not sure whether that will do it...
i do no from my work as a admin at a school you can make policies which allows certain people to do certain things...gets complicated and can stuff your whole OS up but if the user thing dont work ill give you instructions for the policy thing

right click my computer
manage then expand local users and groups find the user u want to modify modify to whatever u like, better just making a new group called <restricted> and put those users in there now the fun go control panel administrative tools local security policy ............have no idea i cant find one that would suit what your looking for... though you can restrict access to cdroms, floppies, etc ohhh flashback..lol i just remembered you can hide HDD's so you would have to physically type the name in...as it wont even be in the drop down menu cant quite remember how to do that will get back to you NOTE: I am NOT responsible for anything you do to your computer, software or hardware or anything enjoy FalconSR

If you are using NTFS (XP's native file system) you can set permissions to any drive or folder you want. Just right click on the drive you don't want the other users to access and click Properties. There should be a Security tab and follow the prompts from there.

I've got a 160G external H/Drive, just pull it out of the USB port & keep it aside. Doesn't matter who fires up the computer , they can't read the drive if it's not there .....
