Default My new indicators.

Thought I should show a picture of the EA because it no longer looks completely stock! Yes, sadly the monster truck ride height still remains :( ! I bought the clear indicators last week, and replaced my stonechipped headlight with one I bought off Niko. I reckon it looks heaps better than the old amber ones (and these ones don't leak - my old RHS indicator was all cracked, and would always fill up with water). I was also going to take off the mudflaps but found the paint on the rear bumper looks pretty ordinary underneath them.

BTW. The car needs a clean. Those are bugs on the front bumper, not scratches. And ignore the oil on the driveway. That was from when my headgasket went, it started leaking oil. That's all fixed now. On that subject, does anyone know a good way to clean oil out of the driveway?

yeah people who think amber ones are cool shouldn't be allowed to sign up to the club...lol

Seriously though, it cleans it up so much.

I admire you for being on this site so long and keeping your car stock too!

LOL Thanks! There's certainly been plenty of peer pressure, mainly to lower it. The suspension it has in it is so stock, it still has the original SLS system... which still works!

LOL. I should get another photo when I pull the fuse out for the SLS. Then at least the back would look low! BTW. You would have loved to see it when the SLS played up back in 2003! The SLS went overboard and jacked the back of the car up as high as it would go. It wasn't a great look with 5" between the tyre and the guard but I fixed it with a cable tie!

Thanks Joe. I've always said that Platinum was one of the nicest colours to come out on the e-series but I am a bit biased though. It looks even better when it's clean!

I wouldn't mind actually having something resembling handling (rather than tons of bodyroll), but after spending $1400 on the car in 3 weeks, the money situation isn't too great at the moment.

Thanks to all the other people for their compliments.

The paint is one of the reasons I bought the car in the first place. The paint is in incredibly good condition for a 16 year old car. The panels are straight (with a few very small dints) and the interior is nearly immaculate. Overall, this car was looked after incredibly well by the previous owners. Cheers Joe for the compliments.

Alex, I got them off E-bay. $38 for the pair + $8 postage and handling (usually $12 p & h but since I'm in Melbourne and so is the seller, they took off $4). They didn't allow pickup, so I had to get them sent out. First time I'd ever used e-bay. I'm a bit old fashioned. I'm more of a trading post person!

Should be able to pick up a set of new SL's for $300ish?

Theres a lot to be said for standard suspension travel though, don't have to brace yourself at potholes and level crossings!

I thought it would cost a lot more than that. If they were $300, I'd probably still have to wait because I can hardly even afford that at the moment. I'm just starting a couple of weeks of work (during uni holidays) so that should get the funds going again! (I had a little bit of work this morning, but next week I start full days)

Yeah, I nearly get air off some of those level crossings! If I got ultralows, I'd probably rip the sump open in the first week!

LOL. While I'm at it I could get a bullbar, sidesteps, about 10 aerials and a big set of CAT mudflaps across the entire rear of the car.
