Default Impressive service from an Insurance Company

Driving to work this morning I ended up being the meat in the sandwich between two other cars. Jumped straight on the phone to the insurance company to organise a tow truck etc, and within 10 minutes, the claim had been put through, the tow truck had arrived, and my poor car was taken away. 5 minutes after that a taxi arrived to take me home and a hire car was organised. Before I had even left the house, the Panel shop rang to say the car had already been taken down to the insurance company's assessor and I would hear within 24 hours if they will be repairing it or giving me a new car (mine is only 6 months old) This was all within about an hour of the accident.

I was still at work by 9.30am with very little disruption to my day, other than a sore shoulder and arm.

Honestly thought it would be more of a hassle. Very impressed.

That is just awsome that they were so good, a rare thing these days! Not so good about your car and your sore spots though. My XR is with them. If the need shall ever arise I hope they are that good with me too and not just yummy mummy's LOL

Good stuff. As well as informing your fellow AFFers, it may be worth giving the company some feedback as well.

Unfortunately, as we all know - good service is the exception to the rule these days... tell the insurer about your experience and someone in claims might get a pat on the back - good way to brighten someone's day IMO...

Hope the arm and shoulder dont pull up too sore!

Good to hear you are okay.

I recently changed my insurance to AAMI. Not only was it cheaper than many others, when i first phoned them a REAL person answered the phone, not some bloody machine. What a pleasant surprise.

yet needed to make a claim though, thankfully :eclipsee_

Thanks guys. My shoulder is actually quite sore, but I jarred it pretty well on impact. Just muscular pain, no broken bones, bit of deep heat and a nice gentle massage from the other half will make it better.

No, I don't work for GIO, just extremely surprised by the level of service. I haven't had to make an insurance claim before, so I suppose I didn't know what to expect. (And kirky I don't think it would have made any difference if I wasn't a "yummy mummy" hehe)
I am on the road for work about 90% of the time, so I was worried what impact it would have.

These things happen I suppose, I was just grateful everyone was ok, and that I didn't have my little man in the car with me.

Very good news, good when they are like that, on car insurance Ive just changed mine to CGU from RACV and saved $30 per month it was $68 with RACV and its now $38 with CGU.
