Hi guys,
Doing my front brakes soon, pads and rotors, and I have a couple questions to ask. Does my model have a large castelated nut & split pin holding the disc & bearings to the hub, or is it free floating? If it does, after replacing the disc, this castelated nut is tightened to seat the bearings and then backed off a little before installing the split pin. Can anyone tell me the correct way to do this. I have heard it should be torqued to a certain reading before being backed off again but my torque wrench is poor & I would rather do it by "feel'. I will repack the bearings too, but should extra grease be added to the 'hole' where the bearings fit into & how much? Any tips greatly appreciated and thanks |

the disc just falls off
it is held in place by the wheel and wheel nuts remove wheel remove caliper.. bang center of disc with hammer or rubber mallet if it doesnt pull off by just human force
