Default Broken fuel cap removal

Any ideas anybody?
Outer cap has separated from inner part which is still screwed into fuel filler. FG
Doing my head in...

Had this a couple of times lately, just gotta tap the bit inside the pipe around with a screwdriver or similar. There seems to be a 10 year lifespan.
Next to go will be your radiator cap.
