Engine was a 1.5 e5t with a carby(jap version was injected), nice recaro interior. Available in 2 door and 4 door. have a look at http://www.fordlaser.com/
There are a couple of them on that site. |

I drove one when they were new, went all right but handling was not up to the performance potential. Also at one point NSW most stolen car. Looked nice though and would make an interesting collectable to stick in the garage (Not that you'd expect to make a million dollars out of it)

I saw that one; it was beating like a cheap whore though. Yet still, $800 is still cheap for a car...

Definitely the KB, like this one except they had blue stripes from the factory http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/for...e-t114758.html I thought they were a pretty good car till I drove one. Regards, Tote

I've had 3 of the cars. First had a stuffed engine due to past owner thrashing it. I kept it for a year then sold it because the recaro's were not in it, and had too many issues. My second car was a mint original car, recaro's, high flow turbo, tx3 intercooler, 2.5 inch exhaust etc. Best time it posted at Eastern Creek was 14.1. That got stolen 8 years ago after owning it for 10 years.
The one I got now is original, and wont be touched. It's been sitting in the garage for a few weeks now, but will be staying there. Not the best handling cars, but I do love the styling on them. |

^^^a 14.1 is impressive in my books for such a car. I think they would make a pretty cool mon-fri car.

Some extreme thread mining: A bit of retro history.
I bought a 3 door (Laser Turbo #156) new in 1985 in Ballarat Vic. Sold it to my dad in 1987 who took it up to QLD, then sold it a few years later. He was having a clean out of his shed the other day and found this:
