Default Transmission, need advice!!!! Auto manual in evl??

Ok friday morning, driving into work, nailed it, auto dropped down a gear, car kicked out sideways and scared the crap out of the old lady next to me. But when i backed off, there was crunching, smashing, and really terrible sounds :S Auto is ИИИd, yet again. this one didnt last 2 months. Gotta bite the bullet and get something either fun "manual" or something strong, C4 auto???

I need help coz everyone says T5 wont last long, but the C4 is like 4 grand??? I want to spend 3 grand max, MAX, on a solution Im near the Dandenong area, and want my car back ASAP. Who knows where to take it to? and what should i put in it??

Manual...DO IT!!!!

;)

The BTR's don't like you, they seem to be happy with the way I treat them...even though I'm on my 3rd lol.

I thought you were trying to sell it?

Manual would be heaps of fun, but unlikely to last long if you abuse it.

nah decided to keep it, i would consider sellin if someone offered the right money, but im gonna keep modding it while its mine.. I dont care, manual or auto, i just want it going again, My other option is to buy a car for 3k and just drive it std, and reliable.. and do up evl when i get more money

Whatever you decide, it would be unwise to keep buying secondhand components... in some ways you're lucky to get 2 months of use out of a totally untrustworthy component.

Are you running the trans at max line pressure?

With your BTRs, have you run them with a large(r) trans cooler? They die rather quickly when they're hot.

A larger, aftermarket cooler might be what's needed. If you stick with an auto that is

And if it'll fit with the bigarse 'cooler!

T5Z as far as I know would have to be from Ford, or talk to FTG.

I would say manual, but then yeah, its T5Z at a minimum.

If I was you I would buy a cheapo laser and drive that during the week, it will hurt, but in the long run be better off.

Then save for either a good manual or some auto.
