Yeah the old mans AU has a problem (don't They All) Recently when the press Air-con or Aircon max, its wont stay on, to the point i have put some tape on it to hold it down, and my question is, how do i take the round part of the dash off? i know i will need to take the head of the CD Player and all the air con related knob but were are the screws??? and another thing, what the point of having "air con Max" and "Air con" do they make a difference???

Remove the radio and the ashtray. They each hide 2 screws (4 total, I think) that you need to undo, then just pull the facia off. It will take some force to get off, so do it forecfully, yet gently. You will then need to unscrew the A/C controls etc - again, I think 3 or 4 screws hold this in - it's very fiddly to do, and you may have to remove the screws for the clock to get access to one or two of them. Also undo all the electrical connectors/plugs etc.
The difference between A/C and A/C Max is that A/C max blows the fan a bit harder, and runs on recirc to cool down the air in the car first. You should only run A/C Max until the car is cool enough, then switch back to A/c and fresh air - using recirc all the time tends to cause a bacteria build up in the system.
