Default plastigauge

anyone still use plastigauge? if so where do you get the stuff in oz?

Yes I've used it. Repco sell it if you can actually find someone old enough that knows what it is. You'll need to know what colour you need.

Any good auto store should have it, usually have to ask for it. Different colours for different clearances so check the clearance you are checking and get the appropriate one(s). You usually need a couple of different ones if you are doing a full engine rebuild.

thanks, i'll check at repco tomorrow. was starting to think that no one used it anymore.

i'm looking for green, but will probably pick up some red as well. its always handy as a double double checker.

Part numbers to ask for at Repco (I think.... been a few months since I had to look at them):
Yellow: AY1
Red: AR1
Blue: AB1
Green: AG1
