MA Mondeo Issues

Hi,

My wife's 2008 MA TDCI has a couple of issues and wondering if anyone knows how to get them fixed.

First one is when unlocking the car it doesn't always unlock, but it allows locks. Have tried both remotes and replaced batteries in both remotes without any luck. This has just started happening in the lady week. Any ideas?

Second one is gearbox likes to hold second fear when going down hills and won't change unless we force it too. At the 60,000km service last year they reset ecu and gearbox and it worked for a little bit but has gotten worse again. Any ideas?

Car currently has 73,500 km so due for service soon.
