Hi Guys,
I have a bit of confusion here which I hope you can clear up for me. Hope the question doesn't sound too silly! My Haynes Mondeo workshop manual says to replace the timing belt every 100,000 kms. My MB factory service book says to change the camshaft drive belt at 240,000 kms or 10 years, the factory book makes no mention of a timing belt. Are the camshaft drive belt and the timing belt the same thing? I sure hope so. Cheers, GK

It seems that they are the same.
I dug deeper and found a note in my workshop manual. It stated that they recommend the belt be changed much sooner but Ford recommend a 10 year or certain km interval. Seems like I'm fine for now thank God. GK
