Default Falcon records before "D" day

Heard Skaiffe talking about his speed record or record attempt in ute on salt flats and read a bit about it in AMC was wondering what you guys thought is there any chance ford could or would go after this ute record befoer the falcon is canned. What other records would you like to see taken ouit before it's demise.

I feel the FPVs utes could easily beat the SS utes record for fastest ute in the world. it wont happened as ford don't care about falcon anymore (if they ever did the last few years). I'd love too see an Australian ford as Australia fastest car (currently is. under threat by GTS) and I'd love too see another falcon take this tittle http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&A=1157

I know its not a brand new ford but hell this is impressive. which I had heaps of money too do something like this lol
