The problem I often see these days is it's hard to fathom who’s in charge, the adults or the kids....

Once my old man had "demonstrated" to my brothers and I who was boss, he and mum never had a problem again....ever!

Edit: Back in those days "your rights" and "nanny state" had not been invented....

Even today tonight aren't dumb enough to attack their target demographic.

yep!...and it goes further than that, my eldest granddaughter is in her first year of school, some of the ideas and attitude she is coming home with makes me wonder just what is being taught.

never mind, ten minutes with Poppa and all that is forgotten, she gets back to her adorable self pretty quickly.

I dont remember it being that hard to raise kids when we were raising ours.....seems to be more pressure in todays world.

grandparents, i think are more important today than ever, when the stresses of everyday living get too much for mum and dad, just drop the kids off and go take a breather.

win win, I get to make pasties and sausage rolls with my three beautiful grandkids, the kids have a ball and mum and dad take a break.

no wonder kids are a problem in cars nowadays, the pressure, without extended families can be enormous.......the modern parent has my greatest respect.

12 year olds... And the constant "don't look at me, don't touch me" or " shut up" towards their younger siblings... If he was my son I'd over taken action, but they weren't and his mum didn't allow for me to discipline the little gem. I think it's harder being a substitute parent but thats my one sided opinion.
I'm actually glad to be rid of all of them now.

Cars should be designed with a sound proof wall in between front a rear seats so I don't hear the kids at all
