Just stumbled across this link of the fastest cars tested by performance drive. I see fords in that list but not holdens/hsvs.

I've driven a car faster than any of those, repeatedly faster on any day on any track in any conditions ....and I am no journalist.

0-100 in a repeatable 3.5 seconds.

4.9 for the RSpec

Doesn't sound right to me

Discounting a Formula 1 car, I thought Ford had the overall fastest time to 100 with the RS 200 Rallye Car. Somewhere between 2.9 and 3.2.

Been proven a few times that Jeeps estimated 0-100 is off the mark and the SRT8 is actually quite a bit faster

i have always viewed nought to a hundred as not really a full indicator of a cars straight line performance, the standing quarter shows what it has got in top end, 0 to 100 can be misleading with difference`s in gearing and traction .

Guiness Book of Records had it at 3.07 seconds - 2.1 litre 600bhp @ 8,000rpm

I think the Veyron is around 2.5secs to 100kms.. before that, it was the Ford RS 200. but a lot of new supercars can get under the 3sec barrier

I heard the srt8 beat the gtrspec in the hot tuner challenge as well(i think it was called that) around a track.
Pretty sure i read that on this forum somewhere.

They both did the same lap time but I seem to remember the RSpec being quicker to 100 & also down the 1/4 mile.

Unless this SRT8 has the new gearbox?!

The TTRS is an awesome bit of kit though, especially with Quattro AWD system.

Even the TT in standard form with a 6 speed manual hammer along really well...!

the 2 comparison between the SRT8 and the GT R-spec I have seen.. regarding 0-100.

The first test the SRT8 won over both 0-402m & 0-100km/h, then the GT R-spec won the 2nd comparison .

But i remember the SRT8 was quicker around the track as well in at least one of the tests.
