Default Queensland Trailer rego?

Howdy Folks, Can anyone tell me what the go is with trailer rego in Queensland as far as Roadworthys go? Is it under a certain weight that a RWC is not needed? or is it to do with axles? Any help would be much appreciated..
Cheers
Ed

Under 750kg Gross no RWC required. Check out http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/Registrati...-trailers.aspx for full details

when i got my 7x4 box trailor it was out of rego.
all i had to do was tell them that it was road worthy and pay the $$$. i had just spent half the day getting new lights, reflectors etc and rushing to get to the transport office and they didnt even look at it.

A trailer over 2 tonne gross has to have a road worthy, and they will measure it at rego time and ask dumb questions like "Does it have load sharing suspension" like they done for me
There are only a handfull of places that inspect trailers for this purpose
Under 750 KG gross, i dont think theres anything, but it must be safe, tyres ,lights ect
If it doesnt have a VIN plate youll have to source that and get it fitted
IF theres no VIN plate, and you dont know who made the trailer way back when , youll have to be classed as the manufacturer, and be 100 % liable for someones manufacturing faults
Checkout QLD DOT website, think theres issues with lights, spacings, distance of ground, apart ect
Rules change all the time, i went thru hell and back regoing my tandem
