Default headlight tints

Can anyone tell me if the headlights on the FPR cars are tinted blue or if they have a skinz type covering over them? I have a Nitro XR6Turbo and these coloured headlights would go great with the Nitro colour. Any advice would be greatly apprciated. Oh and would they be legal?

I know in qld you are allowed painted or tinted headlight covers as long as the indicator is left visible and you remove the covers when it gets dark or you put your lights on. Otherswise there is this stuff called 'crystalite' which is claimed to be legal but duno how much it costs or where you get it done, only approved installers can do it. It's like a permanent tint on the headlight available in different colours

yep, i had completely blacked out headlight covers and the coppers never said anything.
it wasnt until i had used them a few times that i realised the indicator was also covered, oops, must have frustrated some people those days.

imo, can look good on the right car, but really really crap on the wrong car.

The crystalite product isn't a film I dont think, it's more of a liquid type gel stuff that sets onto the light from what I've read about it. Film tint wouldn't be legal though

I have seen the painted covers and they can look good sometimes. Have also seen a black fg with nightshades, it looked terrible the way it gets that red tinge rather than a black film staying black

Thanks lads, I definately dont want to tint the headlights, that would definately look ******, but i would have been interested if you could get the skinz type product (seen them for protecting against rock strike etc) that way if i didnt like them i could peel them off. No loss no foul
Frostys orrcon car looks awesome with the blue coloured lights especially with his get the ****** out of my way lights on
