Electric cars need a little more development work.

Sounds pretty ******, but, all you need to do to avoid it is plug it in once every 2 months or so for a bit if it's already at full charge. I'm going to assume the jug heads this has happened to are American?

No need to insult other nationalities. I think Tesla is only for sale in the US currently.

Whilst I don't like electric cars, one of the owners of this "bricked" Tesla seems a bit of a nut. I am talking about the one which took his car with him to Japan.
An electric car runs on electric charge. (Duhh!) The mains frequency varies around the country (50Hz in eastern Japan, 60Hz everywhere else), and the the voltage in Japan is completely different to the one in the US. Who can be blamed for this, you tell me! |

OK, that's one case. But what about the one that was plugged in with an extension cord?
Tesla needs to provide very explicit instructions to owners for a problem that requires $40K to fix if it occurs. As a pure electric, the Tesla has no backup. The Chevy Volt may not be as sexy, but it's a much more practical real-world design.

I'm sorry, but do all scissors need to come with a disclaimer saying, "Don't use this device to stab yourself in the neck as it may cause bodily harm."? No.

well the problem i see is just imagine wife forgets to plug electric car into charge over night heads for a road trip to get a new brand of lippy at a sale 10% off, wifey gets to the sale and gets 4 $2.00 lippy sticks she get`s back to car and and notices little flashing light on the dash saying 5% charge left!
Question. A. does wifey beg borrow or do something else to get a get a power point to spend a couple of hours on charge to get just enough volts to get her home........... knowing she`ll miss an episode of days of our lives? Question .B. Does wifey run the gauntlet "yes i can make it" home and get to see Marlena reject evil Victor Kiriakis`s sexual advances? Question .C. if the electric car does`nt make it ..... can wifey thumb a lift to see Marlena hit victor with a bread stick? Question .D. would wifey do the same thing again, risking a $40000 car battery to see tv soap or save 50c on lipsticks? |
