i am about to change all 4rotors and pads on my wifes car, i was wondering if there is anything different about the focus brakes or just a normal rotor and pad change cheers carlo.

Rears are tricky to change the pads and Rotors because they require a 7mm allan key ( not always in a set of metric keys as they go 6,8,10 in size). Rear piston requires to be screwed back not pushed because its part of the handbrake arrangement. Don't buy ford rotors as they are soft and wear such that most people replace them when the pads wear out.

marg99 couldn't have said it better. Don't use OEM Ford Rotors, most people go aftermarket DBA or RDA rotors for better life.

Thanks for your help I will be changing the brakes tomorrow will post after completion pads are rda g max and rotors rda altogether they cost me $319 from highway clutch and brake in campbellfield just up the road the ford factory.

job completed after 3 trips to obtain the correct parts and total cost $433 for the parts. part nos. front rotors dba 7039
rear rotors dba 7971 front pads hdb 1679 rear pads hdb 1959 all parts branded rda, hope this may help someone. |
