If you like the stripe go for it I reckon. Looks good on the AU. I was thinking of doing the full cobra in red on my white XR.

I thought it looked good on the au as well. I was more curious to know if the stripes would have been purchased from a ford dealer more than anything, and if they would sell them to owners of vehicles other that the current GT. I don’t think I will be putting them on my car anytime soon I can’t think of a stripe that would compliment Barossa red.

Damn straight..

Funny you should say that, I saw Tickford wings on the back of a BA Fairmont yesterday.. WHY?

But I guess it all comes down to personal preference in the end. and really if you like it who cares. Personally I don't like it..

Like putting BA XR6 or 8 badges on the AU or earlier models - This is my dislike. But my favourite form of "Badge Displacement" has to be a pic I saw ages ago of a stock Honda Civic under the bonnet, chromies/bodykit/aluminum spoiler... This is no dramas for me but the closer was the Skyline GT-R badges stuck over it.. In the same places they would be on the R34...

Im trying to hunt down the pic for all you guys to laugh at with me,,

i don't know where you are mate- but I am in Perth and saw a silver au with the series 1 BA GT stripes and thought it looked shocking.....

having said that I'm all for stripes on AU's- just over the top and not on the sides.....
