Just thought I would share that I have just spent the last three weeks over in Perth on Holidays. What a beautiful place. Loved every moment. Except it was cold for a Queenslander. Loved Fremantle, The Pinnicles, Margaret River, down to the lighthouse (Cape Leewin?). My favourite place would have to be New Norcia. Damm those Monks make good port.
But my favourite part was seeing the sun set over the ocean as I had never seen that before. Oh and the ghost tour of Fremantle Prison was excellent. Oh and should I mention the wild flowers, penguins, seals and I could have spent a mint at the Perth Mint. I drank heaps of wine, bubbles and cheese. I only cooked one meal the entire time. What more could you want from a holiday. : : |

Ferris01 good to see you enjoyed your stay in Perth. I see that you are a little partial to a small drop of port. If you get over this way again you must seek out and find Jane Brook estate in the Swan Valley, they make a white port that is excellent.

You shoud try the port that sandalford make - it is called 'sandalera' it tastes like stuffing a whole christmas cake (and the sauce) in your mouth.
It costs $5 to taste and if you want more it will cost $90 for a 330ml bottle. After tasting it, it does not actually sound like a bad deal. |
