I've driven the Ford Fusion, it didn't tickle my fancy, but overall it was a good car.

Did like the dash layout (white LEDS), I can see the dash for a change.
A few too many buttons for the A/C switches and all, cluttered together and you seem to take your eyes off the road for a measly switch.

I'm a small to average sized driver, A pillar and B pillar impeded peripheral vision a lot. Probably my pet hate about this car.
For small car, it's built for economy, not for speed. I think they built the diff too tall, the gears in the box are spaced a bit to much too. I drove the auto.
It drives well, when cruising, but brakes are crap with standard brake pad setup (coming from a person who uses Bendix Ultimates..lol)
I would have expected a bit better stopping performance from a new car.
Boot space was good enough, happy with that.

For a mid ranged car on their stocklist, the 2.5L doesn't tickle my fancy, up the ante for the V6.

I drove the 4Cyl Auto. Economy was good, but at the expense of power.
For a 2.5L and the powertrain match up, would have expected a little more for the 4Cyl arrangement.

I seen the Ford Flex and Edge. Flex was like the new age Mini Cooper on steroids. I did like it, the Edge was more of a Territory. The flex is a people mover.

Not sure which one to choose, but the technology on these cars poop on the Territory.

If you pull up the 2005 Fusion, compare it with the 2010 (above) and then know that a variation of Mondeo will become Fusion, I think you can see how Ford NA has to generation away from the styling path it was on to the new international styling language. I think the Mondeo styling will attract a lot more Americn buyers, the bold US styling was probably a little over the top but needed at the time to make Ford stand out from the other bland blobs on sale there.
