G'day guys,
Anyone else had problems with the Low Coolant Indicator on the instrument panels. I had the damn thing come on when the coolant tank is full damn thing was only serviced 2000kms ago.... only thing I did notice upon visual inspection was the plastic centre of the coolant cap slightly lifting could this cause the low coolant indicator to come on? You sure it's not the low wiper water level indicater?. It fooled me when i first got my car.

I don't think its the wiper level there is a fan in the middle of the symbol even if it was the wiper that's full too... lol
Maybe a short perhaps or a bit of dirt somewhere? Chris |

The float in the sensor assy may be full of coolant causing it to sink which brings on the light. Remove the sensor & inspect it.

Your problem might be a head gaskit gone, that inturn is creating pressure in your coolant tank forcing your tank to lift up slightly.
I would just change the radiator cap first and see what happens. -Since I have an AU1 there is no coolant sensor on the coolant tank, Is there any other way I would know if my coolant is low in the car? Last edited by LOWAU; 27-09-2005 at 07:35 AM. Reason: forgot to respond to orig question |
