Default New Holden TM - E4, & E5 - No Joke!

In a move in what I think is to poor cold water on the E3 TM I reported on in Feb, and also since Wheel published the find, Holden have registered the TM for E4 and E5. Time will tell however cause if the E3 is to be released, it would be sometime this year I would think...

TM 1353558: E4 E SERIES 4

&

TM 1353560: E4 E SERIES 5

The VE could be around for some time if they actually get around using those.

think you will find with the updated VE (possibly VF) coming out soon, with new interiors, that HSV will just give it a new series so that they can keep the restyled front and rear on it that have only just recently come out, but add the better interiors which they don't really have a choice in anyway.

Bit of a kick in the guts to the people that outlayed their hard earned on a series 2 only for a series 3 to come out within 12-18months

Holden are working on VF (or whatever it's called) now but don't expect it till after the Cruze has been established in the second quarter of next year, so we're more than a year away from a descent facelift unless they bring it forward to this year? Do Holden really have the money to do this. All the fuss about Direct Injection less than a year ago and they update the looks so quick? Not sure, I'm thinking next year with maybe a few bright colours thrown in this year and some special editions for good measure....

I don't think it'll be the VF; HSV would end up calling it the "F-SERIES".

Oh well that's life, just like I just purchased a new Mk 6 golf and the new Mk 7 will be out in 2012, so soon. But I'll grin and bare it and buy a new Mk 7 in 3 years time. Something to look forward too. It happens to the best and the worst of car, and those in between.

That's far too subtle, you need to add a few more bonnet scoops and maybe a fake bonnet shaker with excessive black plastic and you'll be spot on!

does make you wonder where the e series is going but ,as far i can see they have so many add ons /styling cues that any " next generation /model" could not possibly carry or continue to have all the lights- flares -bulges -grills -bonnets -flutes , poor bloke who has to design that or will they just run a competition at your local preschools ??? and ps no i didnt think the standard ve was ugly even if not to my taste .

I wonder if the E3 (or E4 or E5 for that) does come to eventuate, if they would remove the LEDs... or integrate them better...

If they want to step it up a notch there is only one path they can head down:

+DTRL on front bar, rear bar, front and rear side quarters.

Seriously though, has the E2 been a success for HSV? I have to this day only seen a single E2 HSV on the road and it was definitely not winning over any potential customers. But E1s are EVERYWHERE. HSV probably still make the E1s for special order and rotate the E2s between dealers to make it look like they are selling. That is the only sensible explanation I can come up with as to how they are still selling well.
