S1 fairlane six stacker in boot.
Plays a few songs or just goes to screen [-- -], then ejects the cartridge. Pain in the butt when dealing with night time trips of 50+ klms and very few places to pull up and push it back in for another 3 or 4 songs. Any suggestions other than getting an aftermarket unit. Funds are tight. Cheers.

Man Just get a JVC or Pioneer or something with USB input 1000 times better than messing about getting cds and all that crap.. or just a mp3 head unit.. u can still fit a heap of songs on a single cd...

i had your qaundry a few months ago , same problem, i was going to put an original new one back in because i liked the big buttons and radio on feature with out the keys for an hour, Ford spare parts reply unit is obsolete, i was lucky enough to afford a new sony with usb and mp3 input, as sly said these with the usb rock(no more cd`s in the car), but if thats not an option perhaps speak to a car radio repairer and see how much it would cost for a repair job, i don`t think i`d risk one from a wreckers, good luck with it.

Cheers guys.
Will hit up Fadi an look for a quick fix, but looks like i'm saving for a stereo now. would have enjoyed keeping the lane as stock as possible, but if the stereo goes then looks like its overhaul time.
