Strange mates

Just saw on the news here in Perth that yesterday some poor bloke stacks his Harley and is killed. While Paramedics are tending him a ute pulls up and loads the Harley in the back and shoot through. So when the Police arrive it's a case of WTF.
Then today someone calls the Police about an abandoned Harley in a park miles away from the prang.
Apparently some mates of the dead guy came forward and said they "might" have moved it to save getting it towed. If so why dump it in a park, and why move it in the first place, wouldn't you be more concerned about your dying mate.
I guess we'll find out what really happened in a few days when someone gets charged.

Maybe they thought it was a bit of a mess after the prang and wanted to give it a bit of a clean. Remove the "GRASS" from the undercarrige, clean up the spilt "COKE" in the saddle bags, and make it safe by removing those spare octane "PILLS" from the tank bag. They seem to care alot about their Harley's these sort of blokes.

They most likely didn't think he would die/was dead and thought they where doing him a favour.

But in saying that, most people know not to disturb a crime or accident scene. And if they thought he wasnt going to die, why move the bike so quickly then lose the bike.

Sounds to me like they were covering their own grASS...

Suspicious in life and in death. Doesn't sound like society in general should miss him.

PS If i'm mistaken, then sorry. But it's very unlikely.

Probably was harsh. But, i did add at the bottom that if i was mistaken i was sorry.

No, I don't think Harley riders are below me at all. I too am a motorcyclist and have been for more than half my life. Harley's don't appeal to me, but a Buell would. Prefer my bikes with 2cyls and a sporting bent. Just like my current ride.

The context of the crash is, he crashed, some suspicious mates turned up and removed the bike from the scene of a death. A major no-no. On the pretext that maybe it might get stolen. Well, with a police tape around the scene, and police there. Highly unlikely. Then, the concerned mates dump the bike some time later in a park. Yeah, very concerned. About what was in the bike.

And there you have it. It may not have been his mates.
So yes I agree that if it was his mates it was concern for what was in the bike
but this is just speculation at this point.

I would say it was more likely mates that were covering something up. If it was a random theft why was it found so quick, why would they go to all that trouble to just dump it again wthout stripping it?
The fact that they turned up with a ute seems to hint they knew what they were there for. It should be interesting to see what comes of it all.

What do you think "crank" means to old bikers. Not a large reciprocating mass but whats inside the crankcase.

I am not having a dig at bikers. My dad and brother both ride.
