Try a few online translators to confirm they are the same, don't want it done in Double Dutch !

Another crazy dutch person!

PS. I'm half dutch, but don't speak a word of it. Mum is dutch, but doesn't speak it very well anymore. She came to Australia when she was 14.

Old rego plates started with CRZY never understood really where I got the nickname from :P

Thanks Coll look forward to hearing from ya.
PS> I really dont trust any of those online translators. I wouldnt want to end up like the girl in the UK where it meant to read "Im a good friend" in Chinese, only to spell "Im an evil person" or something.

No worries. Happy to help. My mother in law just sent me an email with the correct spelling of what you wanted. PM sent.

You can't get much more Dutch then them. They speak it at home and English is their second language. By all means get the translation double checked but I am sure, just by reading it, it is correct

Dad is Dutch born and can still speak it fluently (even though he came out to Australia in 1950 as a 4 year old!), and Mum can read, write and speak dutch with a little time to "remember" it all, if you need a hand too, they're only a PM away (with me as messenger - I can only swear in Dutch ).

AND - for those in AUS/NZ that do speak Dutch, you can watch Dutch TV, 'BVN', its free-to-air on the satellite Optus D2!

All you need is a satellite dish (pay tv size), and a cheap (or not) satellite decoder, or PVR! Being FTA means no fees - just install and watch/listen.

BVN Channel:-
http://www.bvn.nl/

Satellite Optus D2
http://www.lyngsat.com/optusd2.html

ALSO carries 3 free-to-air radio stations, Radio Netherlands Worldwide:-

RNW1
http://www.wereldomroep.nl/actua/

RNW2 - The English language service
http://www.radionetherlands.nl/

RNW3 - The Spanish language service
http://www.informarn.nl/

Optus D2 also carries other FTA content, including three news and documentary channels; Russia Today, Press TV (Iran) and NHK World (Japan) each in full English. (Three ABC TV live 'feed' channels also worth scanning in).

* RT was good for live graphic footage of the Georgia conflict, stuff you didn't see on normal AUS telly, and more.

** So, if you have someone who speaks Dutch - set it up for em!

I wanted "In memory of Theo, the grandfather I never knew" translated.

Colls inlaws have provided me with the following.

"In gedachtenis aan Opa Theo. Die ik nooit gekent heb".

When the dutch is typed into an online translator it comes up as the following.

"In remembrance of Grandpa Theo. I've never gekent".

Dutch never translates into English well.

You will have to excuse me having a bit of a chuckle Jarrod, it came from Jack's parents (Jack is my husband)

I think Jack was confirming yes it is correct but more so to RG that Dutch doesnt translate to English very well.

I had to read that twice then as I thought it was a very bad dutch swear word..it starts the same way. I think you should keep things in English guys. This is not Ford Forums.nl

It is not spelt correctly...that is why I couldn't get it straight away...But my in laws rarely say it!! I have heard my Father in Law say it once! It is the WORST swear word/ insult in Dutch.
