Default EL Series II ..XR8

Anyone got any advice on enhancing current factory fitted twin exhausted on a ELXR8 ?, objective is to keep the current twin stack but make it a bit louder.

Thanks

Ok... your question makes as much sense as the reason behind making the Holden Camira, however I think the answer you are for is this: Try removing a muffler or two, like the rear muffler, that would make it louder. Or get a new exhaust.

How much do you want to spend?

The twin outlet is just a tip, it's still a single system.

my mates got an EF XR8, had the rear muffler removed this week, makes a bit of a difference. more of a growling sound at about 3-4000 rpm.

EL2 XR8's actually got a twin system aaron. i almost bought one, till i saw it

the headders on teh EL XR8 system are teh best part - the rest of the system is crapz0r. pinched like stock5L headders

get it replaced with a mandrel bend twin 2.25"system(if you dont have any other mod plans) or twin 2.5" (if you plan serious mods - heads, cam and intake)copying the original shape

Thanks guys that gives me a starting point. I was hoping to find someone who had replaced the standard EL II twin system and who was it that did it for them.

B1B has a top sounding exhaust thats a twin 2.25inch and it only cost about $550 from a Carline outlet.

I've got a single 2.5inch exhaust that sounds OK but not as loud and I only paid $350 for it to be made up and installed at a local exhaust place.

My advise would be to just change the system. You don't have to spend much to get a good sound and maybe a slight performance advantage.

Ive had some of my system replaced EL2 XR8
Kept extractors & cats then had 3'' single system fitted adds a bit of a note to it so you can tell its a V8
