All you people with the new Fiesta in 5 door probably know what I'm talking about, what's up with that?. There must be some very weird air effects happening on these cars to make so much dirt land in just one tiny spot on each side of the car in the middle of nowhere

Maybe you have something sticky on the paint the dirt is sticking too ? Nothing like that on ours. Although I can see where Ford skimped on this vehicle - unpainted areas everywhere on panel joins. Rather average Ford. Carpet is poorly fitted and fixed in the front. Also, visiting family that used the car scraped the front bar - the thing is low to the ground ! : (that one wasn't Fords fault clearly ;)) |

I asked my wife about this dirt this morning, she says you idiot "OBVIOUSLY" it's where the muddy water goes along the gap along the sill panel up between the door and rear 1/4 then flys out of the gap between the door and the rear 1/4 and goes onto the edge of the door and the door itself but it doesn't get on the rear 1/4 at all which is the odd part. Where did you find unpainted parts?. We haven't hit anything with the front yet but have been especaily carefull since it is so low. We live in a very low lying area so leaving the front yard during winter normaly means some driving through alot of standing water, that's probably where it's picking up some of the muddy water. The Pizza ladys AU can't get to the house in Winter, too heavy/ no LSD. Pretty funny. The Fiesta isn't having any problem getting out at the moment but it's not REALLY wet yet, I'm expecting it to be ok since it's so light

Nope, no dirt like that and ours has been on 500 km dirt roads in the last two days in rain. Mind you, it has 3 layers of sealant on it and two layers of a high end carnauba.
As for unpainted parts - open the rear hatch and look along the edge of the roof. Look inside the door jambs of the front doors. A number of other places too. Compared to our daughters 15 year old Astina which is truly "painted" in those areas. Re the front bar, just hope the paint doesn't start peeling off. I knew the brother inlaw would do something like that .... |
