Default power steering leakage from the axis of the pulley

My falcon is leaking power steering oil from the axis of the pulley. Shall I replace the whole power steering box? Any work around?
Thanks in advance.

By the pulley, i assume you mean the pump/reservoir?

Yeh easiest way is just to grab another pump from a wrecker, when filling up make sure you use the correct fluid as any old fluid wont do.

I'm about to change my high pressure line and do a flush. I was also under the impression that you could use trans fluid. What is Agri fluid? What is it called on the label? Any particular brand to use? Where can I get it?

Mobil 1 Agri fluid, the fluid in ur reservior should be a light golden colour and not red, which is first and best indication that its not DX fluid.

Agri stands for agricultural, all oil manufacturers make a version of it, so take a pick. The Agri fluid is a touch heavier than the DX fluid and has slightly different characteristics.

It reduces many of the typical whining and airation problems that Falcons had for 2 centuries. Great fix for older Falcons which have such problems.

oh and BTW Falsons take 95LE Tranmission fluid and not DXIII.

Sounds like the seal has gone , it is a $5 part but not so easy to replace
You have to remove the pump and disassemble and press it back together

Easier to swap the pump for most people

Agri is the oil as has been said

You'd better to find out the reason of leaking. If it's the pump, I bought one from Ebay. You should be able to find a used pump there at about $30-40. Also someone is saying that you can rebuild the pump by replacing the seal.
