Default How to know when fuel pumps going?

im not to sure wheather my fuel pump is on the way out, i want to get a custom tune soon but not sure if the pump will hold out for it.

when the car is cold it hesitates to accellerate in 1st-2nd, its a manual XR6. if i put my foot down its not to bad but on slow take off its shocking, il have to give it a few decent revs so it doesnt stutter and whatnot, when starting the car i have to turn to accessories and wait a second or 2 till the pump sound goes away or it really struggles to start.

Is the any other tests i can doe before i pull the *** end out of my car to get to it. Its a ute BTW.
Ive got good plugs, leads, injectors always serviced but the pump was replaced 2 yrs ago before i bought it, so it could be a dodgey pump?

Either do a home check, PM James22 about the one we did to my car yesterday.

OR... take it a mechanic for the same fuel pressure test... as the home one could get a little dangerous, and i do not recommend for beginners...

Fuel pressure and fuel flow test will show the problems.I did a pressure test on my walbro..tested fine..Did a fuel flow test and it was terrible..
