Ebay?

Most AM stations also transmit on FM nowadays. You will be lucky to find one with an AM radio, and if you do it will probably be exceedingly crappy.

From what I have seen, anything with a built in radio is ALWAYS FM.

Which is kinda crap, as I only listen to FM when the AM reception goes bad driving out of the city.

I think the reason you won't find AM receivers is a) nobody under 60 listens to it these days and b) they tend to not work well these days due to a large amount of electrical interference and also requires additional circuits to tune to the AM band.

Na I can get sydney FM stations all the way to Nowra but I lose AM at Buli

I listen to AM as well (i can live without it) but I have to admit I love 3am drives listening to Elsy calling in to talk about the young people next door up all night having partys, "the young people of today, their all on the drugs"

that and the sport coverage on AM is loads better than any thing on FM (aside form HG & Roy that is)

I've noticed there doesn't seem to be AM Band on much these days unless it's a shelf type stereo or car audio.
I listen to AM quite a lot as I spend a fair amount of time in Japanese Imports and the FM band on the stereo in those stops at 90.0.
Luckily, Brisbane has a great 'doof doof' station on the AM band that I can listen to. (The station is called Switch 1197)
Would be nice to have the option on a phone too.

But to answer The Yeti's question, I too don't think such an item exists. But you can still get portable (usually hand-held) radios with AM/FM just no MP3/MP4 capability. :(
